WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY
This series of pictures, made in the final years of the twentieth century, examines the private emotional realities of Americans within shared public spaces.
The county fair, the cruise ship, the sporting arena, the government office, and other gathering places, provide a backdrop against which I have tried to make visible the inertia, uneasiness and occasional wonder of an american dream.
