WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY
This series of photographs, made in the final years of the twentieth century, examines the private emotional realities of Americans unfolding within shared public spaces.
The county fair, the cruise ship, the sporting arena, the government office, and other sites of collective gathering, provide a backdrop against which I have sought to make visible the inertia, disquiet and occasional wonder of an american dream.
